Many young adults maintain a "memory box"—a collection of keepsakes tied to cherished memories, opened occasionally to relive special moments. In this series, I use the physicality of these objects in my art to fill in the gaps in my memory and reconstruct my girlhood.
To counter the foggy, unreliable recollections that ADHD brings with it, I question: can saved objects like a childhood notebook, a t-shirt my mother embroidered or birthday wrapping paper become art? Such personal objects and keepsakes act as physical manifestations of memory here, touching and feeling which anchor me to my past. For me, this transforms them from mere personal artefacts into narratives that resist erasure and affirm lived experience.
