Embroidered Comic
Text, Punch needling on canvas
2.5“ x 2.5“ each

This is an embroidered comic about the objects that give us comfort, the ones we are attached to. The subtle, maybe fleeting grief we feel when they break, break down, stop working, become unusable, or get lost. The sadness in disposing them. The memories that are held in them. Where do you even dispose these things that hold so many memories, so much of us in them? Oh, how much grief there is in that.
I translated these feelings into an embroidered comic of a rather personal story about my mother.
